Dr. Hénault is a sexologist and psychologist and Director of the Autism and Asperger Clinic in Montreal. She obtained her master’s degree in sexology and her doctorate in psychology from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Dr. Hénault has developed expertise in the population with Asperger’s syndrome, more particularly in the area of interpersonal relationships and sexuality. Author of an adapted socio-sexual education program, she also collaborates in several international research projects on the subject of sex education and psychotherapy for people with autism and Asperger’s disease. She worked for over two and a half years at the clinic of Dr. Tony Attwood in Australia. She has published the book “Asperger’s Syndrome and Sexuality: From Puberty to Adulthood” and is co-author of the new book “The Autism Spectrum, Sexuality and the Law” (Attwood, Hénault & Dubin), all published by Jessica Kingsley Publisher, London (2014).
A graduate of Concordia University and UQÀM, Nadia Gagnier has a doctorate in psychology, specializing in educational psychology. She also did post-doctoral studies related to anxiety prevention.
Doctor in nutrition, Isabelle Huot is the reference in healthy eating in Quebec. Author, columnist, and speaker, Madame Huot is also a seasoned businesswoman, carving out a prominent place in the media for more than 20 years, she made the leap to entrepreneurship in 2009, a first for nutritionists in the United States. Dr. Jewel Perlin is a passionate and empathetic psychologist at Concordia University which divides its time between its practice clinical, training and supervision, animation of workshops and as psychological expert on television. She obtained her doctorate from McGill University.
A doctoral candidate in administration, she studies the professional inclusion of students with disabilities and their job retention. As an adapted service advisor for the professional inclusion of students with disabilities, she supported teachers, companies, and students during the transition to internship or employment. Her role as an equity, diversity, and inclusion advisor allows her to promote best practices in terms of inclusion in a large company. Ms. Lebeau participates in scientific research, gives conferences, and carries out consulting mandates within companies through the company Humain8.
A psychoeducator by training, I now work to support the teams of professionals who intervene on a daily basis with children with special needs and who require specialized and subspecialized services. In the health care network for several years, I also teach the best educational approaches to future specialist educators at TAV College. Out of passion, I collaborate as an expert and scientific editor on certain content of the Alloprof Parents platform. Finally, I design simple and effective practical intervention tools for families whose ideal room is adapted.
Audrey-Rose is interested in the cognitive development of children with neurotypical disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. Having received a bachelor’s degree in physiology from McGill University, as well as a second in psychology from the University of Montreal, her dual training allows her to fully understand the issues that children with differences go through. As part of her doctorate with Dr. Sarah Lippé at Ste-Justine Hospital, she is helping to demystify the functioning of the brain of children with high intellectual potential. In addition, she is currently working on a research project with Dr. Bruno Wicker in collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. This project aims to understand the perception of art and the effect of creative workshops on adults with an autism spectrum disorder. Already carving out a place for itself in the media and popular science, his projects caught the attention of the program “Discovery” in 2019.
